New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck wants his team to focus – NFL News
New York Giants defensive end Justin Tuck wants his team to focus on the game as the player is not happy with their 6-4 record in this season.
Addressing a press conference, he said:
“We lost a little focus, and I think everybody on this team feels that we can be the best team in the league when we're playing our style of football."
According to him, they need to play better and lead their team to victories. The team, he said, has not lost confidence and if the players increase their focus on the game they can get more wins.
He was sure that veteran players can come up with their best, as they know how to tackle these situations. These ups and downs are not new for the Giants, as they face similar situations almost every season.
He added:
"We can't rely on the fact that we have the experience of being in these situations. We have to go out and play the game and play it at a high level to be successful."
Week 11 was their bye-week, they have given rest to their minds and now they are ready to practice for their next game against Green Bay Packers on Sunday, November 25. They have lost their last two games in a row.
Giants’ head coach Tom Coughlin while talking about his team in a radio programme on Tuesday said:
"We spent a lot of time on the mental part right now. We have had some debriefing process and they had a chance to clear the air of anything that was on their mind. We are calling it a six-game season.”
The 2011 season was very exciting for the Giants. After an inconsistent regular season, they were able to perform impressively in the playoffs. They defeated many strong teams like San Francisco 49ers and New England Patriots and won the Super Bowl.
In this season they have got six more games to go. If they maintain a winning run they can qualify for the playoffs and have a chance to defend their title.
