New York Giants’ running back, Ahmad Bradshaw, hopeful to be 100 per cent before August – NFL News
New York Giants’ running back, Ahmad Bradshaw, has said that he wants to take as much rest as he can so as to heal his injured foot and be 100 per cent fit in August when the team’s training camp for the next National Football League (NFL) season will start.
Bradshaw received an injury during one of the games of the last regular season. He sat out of few games, but returned later to play for the team with a cracked bone in his foot. He used to miss most of the practice sessions and take part directly into the
games.
Recently, Bradshaw underwent a medical treatment and got his bone marrow injected from his hip into the damaged foot so as to expedite the healing process.
Even though Bradshaw is trying hard to recover, he cannot be completely fit without taking a rest for around two or three months. It means that he will be able to miss most of the offseason activities and will not be able to participate in the team’s minicamps
and other OTAs.
However, the player is hopeful to be present in the team’s training session, which will be held before the start of the next regular season. Bradshaw said:
"I probably can (run now) but I am not going to try for two or three months more. I just want to rest as much as I can. By the time training camp comes, I want to practice every week and start the season off right.”
Bradshaw, who scored the game-winning touchdown in the Super Bowl XLVI finale against New England Patriots, has hoped to play a big role in the team’s success next season.
Bradshaw could only start nine games while playing 12 in the last regular season in which he rushed for 659 yards and scored nine touchdowns. If he is able to play and start all the games, he can certainly improve the record. He said:
"Hopefully I can get a little more carries now."
He added:
“I just plan on touching the ball a little more, becoming a bigger part of the offense, not only running the ball but passing too. I plan on doing that and I just want to be a big part of the offence too."
