New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw: Expect the unexpected – NFL News
New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw had a remarkable last game in which he rushed for 200 yards on 30 receptions to help his side to victory over Cleveland Browns.
As the defending Super Bowl champions prepare to face San Francisco 49ers in Week 6 game, Bradshaw is up for staging another spectacular performance.
According to the details present on the team’s website, Bradshaw said when asked if he could repeat the last game’s heroics against 49ers as well:
“Expect the unexpected. With this line, there’s no telling what we can accomplish. We’re just going to go out there and give it our all.”
Bradshaw has played four games this season. He has rushed for a total of 333 yards on 65 attempts, while scoring two touchdowns.
He missed one game due to an injury and was replaced by youngster Andre Brown, who is also an exceptional talent.
In presence on these backs and overall strong offensive line, Giants, though considered underdogs, can beat 49ers.
Bradshaw carried the ball 30 times against Browns and it is not sure if quarterback Eli Manning is going to hand him the ball so many times again. However, the running back is up for giving his best shot even if he gets limited opportunities. He said:
“I feel like as many times as I can touch the ball is as many times I can make a lot of different plays and get a lot of yards. So I don’t mind touching the ball at all that many times.”
The game against 49ers will be the Giants’ toughest challenge of the season so far. 49ers are on a two-game winning streak and their defence was exceptional in the recent wins, posing a serious threat to Giants as well.
Manning has also acknowledged that it will not be easy to just penetrate the 49ers defence. However, he has urged all players to take up responsibility at individual level to have victory chances. He said of 49ers:
“They’re good all over the field, and each player is going to have to win their individual battles, and do a good job of blocking and receivers getting open, and running backs making guys miss.”
