New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw ready for ‘big game’ – NFL News
Soon after receiving the green signal from the team management with respect to his participation in Week 4 game against Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw has expressed excitement to face the National Football Conference (NFC)
East divisional opponent.
Bradshaw hurt his neck during Week 2 game against Tampa Bay Buccaneers and missed Week 3 victory against Carolina Panthers.
He was seen during practice session this week with coach Tom Coughlin confirming that the running back would start against Eagles.
According to the details present on the team’s website, Bradshaw said:
“I feel great. No symptoms at all, nothing. Lets me know that I’m going to be prepared for this week.”
After a sloppy start to the season, Giants won their next two games and are 2-1 after three games. Eagles luckily got off to a good start after winning their first two games, but were defeated in Week 3 game.
The NFC East is currently dominated by Dallas Cowboys, who, just like Eagles and Giants, have won two out of their three games.
A win for Eagles or for Giants will equally be important for both as it will give the winning side a handsome edge in the division ranking.
Bradshaw is aware of the importance of this game and that is why he has shown eagerness to participate in it. The running back said:
“It’s a big game for me. I’m ready to get back into things. It’s a divisional opponent, and I think it’s a big contest for our team.”
Although the team has confirmed that Bradshaw will start against Eagles, it is not determined how much playing time the player will get.
In Bradshaw’s absence, Andre Brown replaced him and performed incredibly well. He might also get playing time against Eagles, but Bradshaw is going to be the starter.
Giants offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride said of Brown:
“He’s really played well. He got an opportunity that probably would not have occurred if it wasn’t for the injury to Ahmad. But he did just what you pray as a coach that a guy will do when a chance presents itself. He went out and made some plays.”
If Cowboys lose their Week 4 game, the winner of Eagles-Giants matchup will take lead in NFC East.
