New York Islanders wins 4-2 against Boston Bruins in an important game for both sides - NHL Recap

The first game of Friday was played at the TD Garden as the home team, Boston Bruins played host to New York Islanders.
The game was important for both sides as Bruins were chasing the top spot in their Conference while Islanders wanted to come up with a win against the big team this season where there were a lot of disappointments.
The game started off with Bruins making a decent start to the game which resulted in them scoring and leading by a goal at the end of the first period.
Both teams scored a goal apiece in the second period but Islanders put the foot on the gas and scored thrice in the final period to win the game by 4-2 in the end.
Jack Hillen of Islanders was named the star of the game as he scored the winning goal.
Both teams made a decent start to the game which saw them making goal attempts right from the start and there were shots on goal by both teams.
There were several chances for both teams but it was not until the 17th minute that we saw the first goal.
The goal was scored by Nathan Horton from a superb backhand shot to get into the lead. Both teams continued to pile shots on target. There were no further goals during the period as Bruins led 1-0 as the teams went into the break.
Bruins made 8 shots on goal during the period while Islanders made 11 shots on goal.
The second period started off with both teams making shots on goal right from the start. They fired shots on goal and there were some brilliant pieces of play observed during the course of the period.
Bruins managed to score in the 14th minute once again through Zdeno Chara from a powerful strike to double their lead. Bruins and Islanders kept on piling pressure on each others’ defence and it wasn’t until the final period.
Islanders finally managed to score in the final minute through Matt Moulson from a well placed flick shot. The period ended with Bruins leading 2-1 as they made 12 shots on goal while Islanders 18 shots on goal.
Islanders made a great start to the final period and they scored early in the second minute through Michael Grabner from a decent strike to level the scores. Islanders kept on piling the pressure and scored once again in the sixth minute through Jack Hillen
to get into the lead.
Bruins came up with a few shots on goal but it was Islanders who scored in the final minute once again through PA Parenteau to win the game 4-2 in the end.
