New York Jets CB Antonio Cromartie rejects idea for TV show - NFL News
In the National Football League (NFL) players come from various backgrounds each with a different story to tell from the heart warming to the disgraceful.
However, no story comes close to that of New York Jets cornerback, Antonio Cromartie who is father to ten kids from eight different women spread across the United States.
That makes for an intriguing story for the player who just recently had his tenth child from wife Terricka Cason Cromartie and a television production company requested the cornerback to give permission to film a show detailing his unique family life.
The Jets cornerback though has rejected the offer but the show does have the go-ahead from the mothers of his 10 children.
A source close to the family told the New York Post that the mom’s want to do the show to document their journey and have asked the player to give the go-ahead.
“To document their journey,” the source said. “They want Antonio’s support.”
Ryan Ross who is the mother to Cromartie’s fifth child is completely in support of doing the show since it would help the siblings to know each other.
"I love it. Our kids need to know who their siblings are. It's bigger than our past with Antonio. It's about our children."
Ross also said that all the mothers are close to each other and have developed a close friendship.
“We’re not catty women. We have a close, tight-knit friendship and understand what each other’s going through. We reach out to share news about the kids, to talk, to vent. We co-exist for the sake of my son.”
Rhonda Patterson who is the mother of Cromartie’s sixth child does not want to have anything to do with the football player anymore and said.
“That chapter for me has completely closed — talking about Antonio, thinking about Antonio, even caring what’s going on in his personal life,”
It remains to be seen whether Cromartie changes his mind about the show and allow it to go-ahead.
The cornerback who signed a four-year $ 32 million deal with the Jets continues to pay child support upwards of $ 3,500 to each of his children’s mothers except one.
