New York Jets QB Tim Tebow's lawyer ask actress to take down picture - NFL News
New York Jets quarterback, Tim Tebow, has a squeaky clean image in the National Football League (NFL) as the player is known for his humble mannerisms plus being the perfect role models for the kids idolise him.
However, the latest news even by Tebow’s own standards is way overboard.
The Jets quarterback on the weekend through his lawyers reportedly asked a crew member of the Broadway show “Rock of Ages” to take down a picture of him with the cast of the show off their Twitter account.
Actress Neka Zang who had posted the photo of Tebow on Twitter wrote on her account that the quarterback’s lawyers had contacted her to ask for the removal of the picture as it can harm Tebow’s image.
“Well, Due to Tebow's 'image' I was asked to remove the pic of him with us half dressed ladies. He does know we arn't real strippers right?"
The status which has now been taken down however, was not missed by celebrity gossip website
TMZ.com and the whole issue has now gained centre stage in the media.
Even though the picture is relatively harmless with nothing controversial the call from lawyers has given the story the attention it had never warranted.
This is not the only picture Tebow has found fault with though.
A few weeks earlier the quarterback was reportedly uneasy over having a picture taken with two Sports Illustrated models.
Tebow’s lawyers have recently become highly active with the player’s attorney’s recently sending a cease-and-desist letter to a T-shirt company over apparel which they claim to have infringed the quarterback’s intellectual property rights.
The lawyers found fault with one T-shirt being sold by the website CubbyTees.com on which “My Jesus” is superimposed on a background similar to that of the New York Jets.
CubbyTees.com though have refused to stop selling the T-shirt and said that they are prepared to face legal action.
Such activism on the quarterback’s lawyers’ part is more damaging to his image than any picture and his image will likely take a bigger hit after the recent incident than it ever could had his lawyers just ignored the picture.
