New York Jets’ Rex Ryan keeps up the same tone – NFL News Update
It seems that the New York Jets’ coach, Rex Ryan will not cool down his tone any time sooner as he tries to make ahead with his same old bold ambitions.
The season ending loss to the Jets at the hands of the Miami Dolphins has not slowed down Ryan who remains defiant as usual.
Recently talking to the NFL Network, Ryan went on to claim that the problems faced by the team will be addressed. The team has been facing internal problems all along the season as the situation in the Jets’ locker room has remained tense but was only reported
in the media towards the end of the season.
There was also the incident of a rift between the Jets’ quarterback, Mark Sanchez and Santonio Holmes which another Jets player, LaDainian Tomlinson pointed out to being serious and as bad as he ever has been around
However, Ryan feels the problems will be successfully dealt with.
"We're facing the fact that our locker room wasn't as close as it has been in the past and, obviously, one thing we know is we're going to fix it," Ryan said.
Ryan is also confident that they will rebound from their loss this year. Ryan had claimed of winning the Super Bowl but ended up being eliminated from the playoff race after a soaring loss to a much weaker team.
The bold Ryan rhetoric which had remained evident during the entire season was seen again as he talked of achieving the same target the next year.
"We might have been knocked down this year, but we're not knocked out. We're going to be swinging again, there's no doubt about it." Ryan said.
Ryan though is still a long way away from the Super Bowl. At present he is faced with a deteriorating locker room situation, feud among the Jets players and a slumping performance by Sanchez.
Angry fans have hit out on Sanchez with many pointing out that he was not the long term solution to the team’s problems. Recently the outburst reached a serious tone as some anonymous players called for him to be replaced with Peyton Manning.
However, Ryan as before shrugging aside criticism reiterated his vote of confidence for Sanchez.
"Mark Sanchez is the future of the Jets. He's a great quarterback. We're going to be together a long time." Ryan said thus dispelling the notion that they may have someone else on mind as the starter the next season.
It seems that Ryan is bent on keeping up to his old habits and does not desire to bring much change to the team with keeping the same quarterback on the front.
The only thing new appeared to be his insisting that the team’s problems were "One hundred percent” fixable.
