New York Knicks down Golden State Warriors 109-105; Spoil Stephen Curry’s big night: NBA Recap
On Wednesday night, the New York Knicks had to dig deep and find all the resilliance they possibly could, to stop the scorching hot Stephen Curry, who hammered a career high 54 points on the night. Knicks won 109-105, but witnessed a sensational performance from Curry, who was on fire tonight. He went 11 of 13 from behind the arc, setting up a new franchise record.
Due to his stellar performance, Mark Jackson kept Curry on court for the entire duration of the game. The point guard ended up playing the complete 48 minutes of the game and had 7 assists and 6 defensive rebounds to complement his shooting performance.
“I felt good all night. I obviously played the whole game so I was trying to keep my legs underneath me on the offensive end and stick to the game plan on the defensive end. Once I started to see that three ball going down in transition and all sorts of spots over the floor, I knew it was going to be a good night."

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 35 points and 8 assists, Tyson Chandler had a great game with 16 points and 28 rebounds for the night while J.R. Smith chipped in with 26 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts.
It was close for the most part and no side piled up a major lead at any stage of the game. Early on it took some time for the Warriors to get things going and missed quite a few of their shots. It resulted in the Knicks outscoring them 27-18 by the end of the first period.
Warriors came back in the second quarter and started cutting the deficit at a brisk pace. Curry kept them in the game as he kept firing shots from distance to match the combined effort by the Knicks offence.
However, it was not enough on the night as the Knicks carved out a vital lead in the closing stages of the game which secured them the victory.
