New York Knicks unite J.R Smith with younger brother Chris Smith
New York Knicks have signed Chris Smith, the younger brother of forward J.R Smith for the coming NBA season.
The details of the agreement have not been revealed yet, however it has been described as "a dream come true for Chris" by his agent Marc Cornstein who was very excited about his client’s future.
"We are very excited about him joining the Knicks and look forward to him getting a real opportunity to contribute," Cornstein said.
"He's now going to have to work extremely hard and establish himself as part of this veteran team."
There has been speculation that the Knicks have brought in the younger Smith to be assigned to the D-League, which has been deemed not bad at all by his agent as he will get a chance to develop his game with the Erie BayHawks.
Prior to the agreement, Chris had been a part of the Knicks team which took part in the Las Vegas Summer league.
Sacramento Kings pre-season schedule sees them face Los Angeles Lakers thrice – Update
Sacramento Kings announced their pre-season schedule on Wednesday which will see them play a total of seven games, with three of them against their Pacific Division rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers.
They will play their first pre-season game on October 10th against the Phoenix Suns at the Power Balance Pavilion which will be followed by two fixtures against the Portland Trail Blazers and the Golden State Warriors
respectively.
The three meetings with the Lakers have been planned on three different locations. The first meeting between the division rivals will take place in Las Vegas on October 19th and then on October 21st in Los
Angeles.
Kings will turn their attention towards the October 22nd fixture against the Suns after that and will then travel to San Diego to complete their pre-season proceedings in the last game against the Lakers.
These fixtures will definitely provide a lot of help to Sacramento as they look to provide enough practice to their young players – a task they were not able to do before last season due the lockout.
