ship of from sinking.

The Knicks grabbed 41 rebounds whereas the Wizards had 39. Knicks had eight offensive rebounds as opposed to the Wizards' 11. The Knicks gave away as many as 20 turnovers whereas the Wizards were careful enough to give only 16.
The Knicks took 10 fast break points and the Wizards took 11. The Knicks took the biggest lead with 11 points and the Wizards with 12. The Knicks scooped 34 points in the paint and Wizards had 28.
Stoudemire was truly the savior Friday night. Everybody looked on to him as a hero as he led the Knicks with his unusual triple double that consisted of 36 points, 10 rebounds and 11 turnovers. He also tied his franchise record as he savored his seventh
straight game with at least 30 points. Willie Nauls was the last Knicks player who had seven straight 30-10 games in the span of Feb. 22- Mar. 4, 1962.
"I had no idea that the turnovers were that high on my part tonight, I had no clue. But, when you turn the ball over and you still win, you must be a pretty good team." said, a rather confident Stoudemire.
This victory led the Knicks to their seventh straight win and they finally added the seventh color to their rainbow. The Knicks have now grasped their longest winning streak since Dec. 22, 2000-Jan. 7, 2001 and this is their second longest in team history.
For the Wizards, Arenas was the only hope, although even his 20 points couldn't change the complexion of the game. With this defeat, the Wizards lost their fourth straight and eighth out of a total of nine games.
Turning point
New York squeezed ahead at 47.5 seconds on the clock as Stoudemire succeeded in blocking John Wall’s (Wizards’ guard) shot. This locked them the victory and Stoudemire, once again, became the contender for the best player title.
"One thing about Amare is he can score. What a lot of people didn't know, he can score from a lot of different ways." said Knicks’ guard Felton later about his teammate.
Strongest link
Without the slightest of doubts, it was Stoudemire consistent play throughout the game the proved a bit too much for the Wizards. He scored 8 points in the first quarter, 7 in the second, 11 in the third and finally, 10 in the last quarter of the game.
Weakest link
John Wall proved to be the weakling in an otherwise decent looking Wizards side. After missing Wednesday’s game against Sacramento due to a sore left foot, the player looked out of sorts and spiritless. He missed 10 of his 14 shots.
