New York Mets 2012 team highlights video do not feature R.A Dickey-MLB Update
While all other players managed a place in New York Mets’ 2012 team highlights, R.A Dickey could not.
It has happened despite the fact Dickey was 20 games winner for the club during the last season.
By many accounts, his stand out shows transcended performances of the rest of the players in the team by far.
Dickey claimed Cy Young Award for the Mets. It is incomprehensible as to why he has not been included in the video.
Though he has been traded to the Toronto Blue Jays but that does not warrant his exclusion from the 2012 season exhibition to fans.
Video contains almost all important events that happened in the season, for example, Johan Santana’s stand out no-hitter outing at the mound.
Fans will be disappointed, because any video without the presence of Dickey cannot be complete, as far as the 2012 season is concerned.
The Mets stood at the bottom half of the table for the greater part of the last season.
In essence, they failed to achieve many laurels as their fans could hardly enjoy anything which fascinates them. Moments of glory were few and far between for them.
Among those few, claiming the Cy Young Award by Dickey is the most significant one.
If that is removed from the video, which gives a snapshot of the team’s 2012 expedition, it is unfair for Dickey as well as for the fans.
Dickey could not sign contract extension with the Mets, because he demanded more than what the club was willing to pay.
After weeks of negotiations, he was fed up with their officials as they were not making any headway. Eventually, he was traded.
His departure may have resulted in bitter relations with some of members of the team. That possibly can explain as to why he has been eliminated from the highlight video.
Dickey will certainly be unhappy. Getting such a treatment from the club with which he has special memories of life will be disappointing for him.
Regardless of all this, Dickey’s task at the moment is to continue with his incredible run of form as knuckleballer and win games for Toronto.
