  1. Mets sat through the trading deadline and spoke with Ibanez more so, in fact wasted too much ridiculous time in doing so. I can not believe they didnt try to acquire any pitching, at least, let alone another offensive weapon. Will kick them in the face at end of season, most likely.

Oh, and not to mention, Mannuel and some of his poor decisions cost them as well.

  2. they called up eddy kunz 2 days a go and this lugo guy yesterday

  3. They don't do trading because no other team wants there pitchers. They called up two people a couple of days ago.

  4. Trade? How? They already deplete their prospects for Santana. If they don't win this year, they doomed.

  5. I think the METS have lost their way. They kept getting veterans who played 1 season at best and then are out most of the times.

The need to stop doing that and build a good pitching staff.

They took a Pedro who had 3 years left at best and he did not give them that too.I am talking quality years.

Then they took Tom Glavine who also was near his end.

    Also remember the Kazmir trade?

So they kept getting old timers near retirement who were not signed by their original teams and trade their talent .

I think the METS have no clue of how to build a good pitching staff.

They keep trading away talent for short term gains which anyways do not help much.

They forget that pitching was what took them to the world series, of course Mike Piazza kinda stood large .

Unless they start building again they are in trouble. But being in NY , they have to have star power , so they hire the veterans.

They do not realise that there can be many young stars and if they keep winning , people will come anyways.

Then they fire a good manager, of course there was no excuse for that collapse last year.

With the present mentality the Mets will never be a force, just a team with some good seasons.

The ownweship should start hiring some people who really want to win.

But you should realise as long as the seats are filled and games are  soldout and season tickets are going fast, they don't wanna change things. Why bother when people pay up anyways. I feel thats the attitude.

They need someone who wants to win , who knows how to win and keep winning. they shoud have hired Joe if they wanted to fire Willy.
