New York Red Bulls to face Real Salt Lake at Red Bull Arena
New York Red Bulls were able to put an end to their misery as they faced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Dallas-c39095 at Pizza Hut Park last week. Although they only managed to win the game 1-0, the victory was worth it. New York Red Bulls are now going to host Real Salt Lake on Wednesday
at the Red Bull Arena.
The Red Bulls have been suffering in MLS because of their defence. However, in the last fixture, the defenders were back on track. The major reason for improvement was inclusion of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Frank-Rost-c14103 into the first team. The goalkeeper was able to strengthen the
defence, which had conceded 11 goals in the last 5 games.
This fixture highlighted the offensive aspect of New York Red Bulls. The strikers were on their toes throughout the game and managed to produce the required result. Luke Rogers was the reason why the RBNY’s attack force seemed to be rejuvenated. The English
striker was making a comeback into the first team after almost three months on the sidelines because of a heel injury.
Leading goal scorer and skipper, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thierry-Henry-c34918 was absent in the game but Rodgers filled in his shoes perfectly. Rodgers scored the only goal of the game and was substituted at the hour mark.
Despite the narrow win against FC Dallas, what RBNY really have to focus on is the next week’s fixture against Portland Timbers.
The RSL are tough contenders and the Red Bulls will need to change their strategy against them. They are a possession-oriented team with a strong attack and an even stronger defence.
The Red Bulls’ coach Backe had to say a few things about the next week’s opponents. He said:
“RSL are very good and they’ve hammered us twice when we play away!”
“We’ve been very poor and I can say they’ve been very good. We just need to do some things a little different when we play them because we can’t play them the same way we did in the away games.”
The Royals defeated the Bulls in the last game at Rio Tinto Stadium with a 3-0 score line on August 6th.
