New York Yankees ace outfielder Nick Swisher signs with Cleveland Indians – MLB Update
The Cleveland Indians have signed left fielder Nick Swisher to a four-year worth $56 million deal. The Indians management has pushed hard to sign with former New York Yankees ace. The Indians have also vested options for 2017 in Swisher’s contract.
“Wow! What a crazy few weeks,” Swisher said on Sunday via Twitter. ”Hey Cleveland! Are you ready? Because I’m coming home!”

Nick Swisher last played for the New York Indians and showed good commitment. He played with consistency and did not show any loop holes in his game. Not in the last Major League Baseball season, but he was playing in the Yankees since 2009 and was performing
with big heart.
For all those years in the Major League and in the Yankees’ franchise, Swisher has been consistent with his performances. During the last Major League Baseball season, he improved with great thrust.
He finished the season on a high note and impressed many with his consistent all season long performances. His batting average remained consistent throughout the last Major League Baseball season on .272 hitting average along with 24 home runs, 93 RBIs and
.364 OBP. On the other hand, his career hitting average is also consistent at .256 along with 209 home runs, 673 RBIs and .361 OBP.
Swisher started his career in 2004 from the Oakland Athletics’ platform and later went onto play for the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees. Now he will start his new beginning with the Cleveland Indians while experts believe that Swisher will be a healthy
addition in the Tribe’s roster.
The Indians on the other hand, also wanted a utility hitter who could also help them in the outfield with some extra athleticism. With Swisher’s potential signing with the Indians, some say it will benefit both sides. Swisher will get a fresh start with
another Major League team while the Indians will see their potential chances to outplay other leading teams.
