  1. Check out the Queen Mary 2 (Cunard) - it sails from New York to Southampton, departing New York on 03 August (see http://www.cunard.com/CruiseItinerary_ta... )

If link doesn't work, see http://www.cunard.com/Destinations/defau... , then click on Voyage Calendar, then scroll to the bottom for the Eastward sailing.

  2. As the previous answer has suggested, Cunard do regular transatlantic crossings. There is one around the 15th August from New York to Southampton:

From southampton you can travel to London and then be able to travel round Europe if you wish to see the sights.

Also Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are owned by the same company.

Princess Cruises is part of the Carnival Corporation which own Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line, and Seabourn Cruise Line in North America; P&O Cruises, Cunard Line and Ocean Village in the United Kingdom; AIDA in Germany; Costa Cruises in southern Europe; and P&O Cruises in Australia.

  3. Only cruise line that I can think of that would go NYC to Southapmpton, UK would be one of the Cunard ships - QE2 or QM2, depending which is making the run at the time you are sailing.  Other cruise lines have their ships in the Caribbean, Alaska, Northern Europe, or the Med during August to take advantage of the vacation season and warm climates in those areas at that time.

Royal Caribbean and Celebrity are owned by the same holding company.  Carnival Holding company owns Carnival, Princess, Cunard, Seabourn, and several more.  All of the companies operate separately.  Believe that's what you were looking for.
