New Zealand ‘All Blacks’ Player Wins ‘Best Player Award’
New Zealand is an island country off the South-West Pacific Ocean, it’s a highly developed country and is located 2000 km South-East of Australia. Most of the people from New Zealand are European decedents.
The 'All Blacks' is the Rugby union of New Zealand. A team that has a very impressive track record in Rugby, and have been dominating the world of Rugby over the last couple of years. The union came into being during the 1880’s and have played a great number of matches with different counties of the world since their conception, successfully winning more than 75 per cent of these competitions.
All the top ranking country teams of the world have tried to defeat them, but have not been able to achieve a clear cut victory against them as yet. The All Black’s did get a few shocks during the 2000 and 2004 season though, when the Australians and the South Africans defeated them during the Tri-Nation competition. Other than this loss though, New Zealand has prevailed. They occupy the top position on the world ranking list of the International Rugby Board more often than any other team out there.
The Tri-Nation alliance is represented by the three top teams of Rugby in the world, i.e. the Springboks of South Africa, the All Blacks of New Zealand, and the Wallabies of Australia. The alliance formally came into existence in 1905 even despite the fact that New Zealand and springboks played their first match in 1903. Member teams of the Tri-Nation Alliance confront one another on an annual basis.
Many games have been played over the fourteen years of the existence of the alliance, and a large portion of these battles have been won by the New Zealand team. The secret to the success of New-Zealand is the fantastic bonds between the players, the manner in which their spirits mesh together, creating a single instrument by which they defeat all obstacles in their way. Every player of the team fit so perfectly within the roles they play, making the team a well oiled machine.
Their success in the world of rugby can be showcased by the innumerable national and international awards they have received. The International Rugby Board has awarded them many times on the basis of their performance in the Tri-Nation competitions.
The players within the team have been given much appreciation for their contribution to the world of rugby. Robert Fruean in 2007, Luk Braid in 2008 and Aaron Cruden in 2009, and now Savea this year, won the best and best junior player awards.
It is because of the great players of this team that the “All Blacks’ have been so successful and have been able to consistently keep the best player award within their loop for the past four consecutive years. The vice chairman of the IRB, Bill Beaumont, presented this year’s award to Savea after he scored 62 points in the last 17 matches against Australia and Argentina. Savea has been declared ‘the best young player of the year 2010.
