Korea’s Hae Won Kang continued her roller-coaster run and stormed into Women’s Singles semi-final after defeating Thailand’s Alisa Sapniti in quarter-final contest of SKYCITY New Zealand Badminton Open 2013 at Auckland, on Friday, April 12.
The in-form Hae Won, who participated in this championship as an un-seeded player, continued her stunning run and has turned into a potential contender after reaching in the semi-final of the tournament.
Korean lady was at her best on court as she played with great confidence and precision in the entire battle and remained successful in showing exit to Alisa in straight sets in just 27 minutes with a commanding 21-14 and 21-13 score on the board.
On the other hand, Alisa tried to put up strong show against her Korean challenger but she could not utilise her attacking skills. She lost her focus and committed many unforced errors and eventually crashed out without creating any trouble for Hae Won.
