New Zealand Black Caps?

The New Zealand Black Caps are becoming a total embarrassment - not to the country - themselves! When will Bracewell realise and acknowledge that it is him that is this teams downfall. He should immediately resign and with him should go the selectors, the current New Zealand Cricket Board and there pathetic Media/ Public Relations Consultants who should be shot!

  1. dont worry they'll learn from their mistakes n put up a better show next time.

  2. mate it took us about 30 bloody years just to win one test so i think we've seen worse times

and besides the black caps are quite successfull in the ODI arena

    so its not all bad

  3. except a champions trophy years ago the kiwis have flattered to deceive.they have a good team but lose their way and exit quietly in most tournaments.they have a lot to prove.instead of being no.1 i think they are trying not be among lowly placed teams

  4. Unfortunately they are a total embarassment to NZ too.  The person who should be shot however is Martin Snedden who axed a perfectly legitimate coach in Dennis Aberhart who had a great test record and a moderate ODI record.  Aberhart however was sacrificed at the alter of ODI and Snedden's old mate Bracewell.  All that Bracewell has achieved is a rubbish test team and a moderate - not great ODI team.  Snedden should give himself an uppercut.

  5. I remember this was the feeling we had about India quite some years ago. We were adept at "snatching defeat from the jaws of victory"!!!!

Then things changed and now we are talked about as a pretty great/good (depends on who's talking) team.

Point is, things need to reach a low to start improving. I see better things for you guys, especially with people like McCullum around.

BTW, I didn't see the match, but could someone tell me about Daniel Flynn who got 49? Not the wiki stuff, but first hand info on his pedigree and temperament?

  6. Yeah good idea. Fire everyone who has anything to do with the current set up, then wake up tomorrow and we'll be the best team in the world.

In case you didn't notice, that was sarcastic.

I'm getting pretty sick of people blaming Bracewell for everything. So, he probably lead to Cairns, Astle and Fleming retiring early, but lets face it, Cairns and Astle would be past it by now anyway, and I don't think having Fleming in the team would make that huge a difference.

And i don't see why you're so embarrassed. Yeah, so we were soundly beaten by England. I know people say this all the time, but its true - we have about a twentieth of the total population of England, and probably even less of a player base. Of course we'll struggle most of the time. We did pretty well considering.

And I reckon that in a year or two we'll have a pretty good team: How, Redmond, Ryder, Taylor, McCullum, Flynn, Oram, Vettori, Southee, Mills, Martin. Thats pretty useful - not the best in the world, but all things considered, not too bad at all.

When u consider the names we've lost - Fleming, Astle, Cairns, Styris, Bond, McMillan, Vincent, Marshall (most of whom left for money, nothing to do with NZC) we're doing well.

So shut up. The only major problem with Bracewell is when he opens his mouth, but this has nothing to do with the teams performance. Plus, everyone seems to think that John Wright will make NZ great again, just cos he did well with India. Now, I'm not saying that he won't do well, but coaching India and coaching NZ are totally different - India is all about managing ego's of really good players, while NZ is about getting the best out of average players - totally different if you ask me.
