New Zealand Cricket Board Announces the Awards for 2009-10
Daniel Vettori, the New Zealand skipper has earned the achievement of winning three major awards for the 2009-10 session. Vettori clinched 32 wickets for 36.75 runs in test matches, 27 wickets for 20.29 and 10 wickets at 22.80 in Twenty20 internationals.

In the women category, Nicola Browne and Suzie Bates won the Phyl Blacker Cup and the Ruth Martin Cup respectively. Browne had on her credit 16 wickets in T20 game and nine wickets in One day international matches. She was also declared as the player of the Women’s World Twenty 20. Bates contributed 185 runs in the one day international matches and 230 runs in Twenty 20s for the period judged. Bates was also declared as the Player of series during the English tour.
Nicola Browne also proved her dexterity with the bat during domestic season. She was declared the Women’s domestic Player of the year. She was the top scorer in both One day as well as T20 domestic games while playing for the Northern Spirit. She contributed 474 runs in domestic one day matches and 150 runs in Twenty 20 matches. Her performance as a bowler also remained exemplary with 16 wickets in one day and five wickets in T20s.
Browne was also the women's domestic Player of the Year, top scoring in both List A and Twenty20 domestic games with 474 and 150 runs for Northern Spirit. She also took 16 one-day and five Twenty20 wickets.
