New Zealand Cricket appoints John Buchanan as director of cricket
The former http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 coach, John Buchanan, has been confirmed today as New Zealand's first ever director of cricket.

Since then, he has worked with the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749 and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) as consultant ahead of England’s 2010 Ashes success. He also had a luckless stint with Shah Rukh Khan’s IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders, a role from which

the World Cup. The term of NZC selection committee is also due to end at the end of this month, so Buchanan is likely to provide input in composition of the new selection panel as well.
Talking about his new role, Buchanan said, "It's an honour to be appointed to this challenging role. It is a wonderful opportunity to build on the work that has been done."
He said that New Zealand Cricket has a proud history and it is an honour for him to join it.
