New Zealand Division 2 Slazenger Cup: Jasmin Ng trounces Tracey Wong Too in Women’s Singles battle
New Zealand’s spirited player Jasmin Ng, who is representing Auckland II, lived up to the expectations as she showed a wonderful performance in Women’s Singles clash when she trounced Tracey Wong Too of North Harbour at the New Zealand Division 2 Slazenger
Cup 2012 on Friday, August 10, in Hamilton.
The lofty Jasmin, who has been proving her superior skills on court in all of her encounters in the tournament, maintained her positive performance as she easily registered a wonderful victory over Tracey without facing tough resistance.
The in-form Jasmin played fast and positive badminton and remained in commanding position throughout the contest and eventually ended it in a dominating fashion by a comfortable margin on the score board.
On the other hand, Tracey played good badminton in the whole match but failed to dictate the pace as she was just reacting against the shots of her rival. She never took control of rallies and eventually lost the match in straight sets with a comfortable
score.
Both shuttlers started their campaign in a positive and aggressive manner but it was Jasmin who maintained an upper hand by dictating the pace.
The impressive Jasmin showed her remarkable skills while moving fast in all corners of the court and she took a reasonable lead until the one-minute break.
After the mid-game interval, Jasmin continued showing her killing run without letting her rival to catch up the deficit. She was in superb form and played flawless badminton at the ending stage to end up the game with a margin of 21-16.
In the second game, Tracey tried to show aggression but failed to destroy the defence of her rival. She remained close to her rival on score board until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break, Jasmin again took over the control by injecting more pace in rallies. She executed impressive shots in right areas and eventually remained successful in taking the second game with a superb 21-17 score on the board.
The aggressive Jasmin outplayed Tracey in straight games with a remarkable 21-16 and 21-17 margin on the score board.
