The flagging host team gained momentum owing to a middle-order partnership between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Katie-Teresa-Perkins-c70473 (51) and Liz Perry (24), both of whom managed to bring the total up to a respectable 202. The lower order remained fairly unremarkable, but owing to a series
of meager scores, by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lea-Marie-Maureen-Tahuhu-c72373 (1), the total rose to 220, all out, at the end of the 49th over.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Laura-Alexandra-Marsh-c72238 stood out among England’s bowlers, with 3 wickets at the expense of 28 runs in 10 overs. Danni Wyatt also claimed 3 wickets, and Brindle took 2, but at the expense of 46 runs. Jenny Gunn and Shrubsole took one wicket apiece.
When http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Charlotte-Marie-Edwards-c50507, who scored an unbeaten 137 off 88 balls in the
last ODI on March 3, was unable to repeat the performance and went down at 9, leaving her team at 15 for 2.
Wicketkeeper and batter http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lydia-Sophie-Greenway-c73339 (84), and both established a successful partnership
of 201, bringing the score up to 216 in the 42nd over, after which Greenway was stumped by Martin off Nielsen.
She was followed by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Jennifer-Louise-Gunn-c66846, and Brindle both of whom scored one run each before the tourists reached their target comfortably, at the expense of 4 wickets, with 44 balls remaining.
Candy remained the top wicket-taker for the hosts, claiming 2 wickets, while Broadmore and Nielsen earned a scalp apiece.
After having swept the T20 series, 4-0 (with the 4th match cancelled due to rain), the visitors continued their winning streak in the ODI fixtures, and wrapped up the tour by securing a 3-0 ODI win.
