New Zealand announces its squads for T20 and Test series against Pakistan

Ross Taylor will lead the Kiwis in the three-match T20 series in the absence of first choice captain Daniel Vettori, who will miss the series due to sore back but will be back to lead the side in the Test series which gets underway
in Hamilton on January 7 next year. The other two experienced names who miss out the Test list are http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BJ-Watling-c1172 and the spin bowler Jeetan Patel.
The NZC chief selector Mark Greatbatch, who has recently been replaced as team coach by John Wright, said that the panel has kept faith in majority of the good performers of the India tour.
"We have kept faith with the majority of the squad who performed well in the Test matches against India and want to build on the positive steps the team took in that series," the chief selector, said.
Greatbatch also hailed the performance of Reece in the domestic cricket and was hopeful the uncapped player would prove his worth on international arena as well.
The three uncapped players included in the T20 squad are the 18-year-old Adam Milne, Dean Brownlie and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Luke-Woodcock-c1860. Brendon McCullum, whose inclusion into the T20 squad was dubious following a back injury, has been named in the
squad.
"Brendon is keen to play and we are monitoring his recovery closely. He will undergo fitness testing later this week and we will make a call on closer to the start of the match," told Greatbatch.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Peter-McGlashan-c2178 has been included as the reserve wicketkeeper for the T20 series to give the regular gloveman Brendon McCullum a chance to focus on his game as a specialist batsman.
The squad for the one-day leg of the home series would be announced at some later stage during the Test series.
