New Zealand cricket board resist sweeping changes
Despite the shocking 0-4 loss to Bangladesh, the New Zealand cricket board has decided to continue with the same set-up of captain, coach and selectors. However, to complement the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 team, New
Zealand Cricket has set up a specialised cricket committee and also asked the players to reverse their string of losses on their next tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.

The cricket board met up with captain Daniel Vettori, coach Mark Greatbatch and performance director Roger Mortimer on Friday 22 October. The NZC chairman, Chris Moller said that the nine-hour long meeting
was "comprehensive and robust" and added that the players needed to be allowed another chance to get better.

Moller said, "We believe that the team needs to be given the chance to demonstrate that they can perform.”

However, he also added that the players needed to take up more responsibility.

What the New Zealand Cricket also decided was to set up a cricket committee which will have Moller, former international cricketers Stephen Boock and Rob Hart, and High Court judge Sir John Hansen. Their
job would be to look after the cricket in the country from the from the grassroots right through to the elite level, including the senior team.

Moller also said that the board had discussed about the issue surrounding Vettori having a lot of responsibilities on his shoulders. However, he added that the board thought that it was not the case. Vettori
is the leading New Zealand spinner, apart from being the captain, and bats reasonably high in the batting order.

Moller said, "We asked that question, we had a good debate on the subject. Dan commented that he feels the level of weight on his shoulders was far less than was the case 12 months ago."

http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 won all the four games of the series after the Kiwis had gone into the series expecting to win all of them. It was the first time that Bangladesh had won an ODI series against a full-strength,
Test playing nation ranked above them.
