New Zealand cricket board seeks explanations from captain, coach for abysmal tour
New Zealand cricket captain Daniel Vettori and coach Mark Greatbatch will be two of those who will meet the New Zealand Cricket board to review what went wrong on their tour of Bangladesh. New Zealand
had lost the ODI series to Bangladesh 0-4 despite going into the series as favourites to win it. High performance director, Roger Mortimer, will be the other official who will meet the board.

Apart from reviewing the atrocious performance of the team, what they will also discuss is how they need to play the Indians in the upcoming series against them. The selectors are expected to name the New
Zealand for their tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 where they play three Tests and five ODIs on October 24.

Thanks to their 0-4 loss to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 are now ranked seventh in the world, their worst placing in five years.

NZC's general manager of cricket, Geoff Allott did accept that the situation was a poor one but there were no plans to make any changes to the management.

Speaking to the Dominion Post, Allot said, "It's important that we remain confident in the people we have. We've committed to a structure, and we'll be assessed by those decisions."

Allot also acknowledged that the result was a disappointing one and said that the result was to do with some of the decision-making process behind the strokes that the batsmen played.
“Throughout the series there were cross-bat shots. Some senior players would be the first to put their hands up and say they didn't lead by example," he said.

New Zealand’s batting was an obvious problem in the series with only Kane Williamson scoring a century while Ross http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Grant-c60671 Elliott making one half-century each. There were other
major disappointments including Jesse Ryder and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BJ-Watling-c1172, both of whom played in the top three and struggled to get runs.
