New Zealand launches partnership with USA Cricket Association
New Zealand Cricket announced on Saturday its partnership with the USACA (United States of America Cricket Association) to help promote, develop and market the game in the US. This partnership is not limited to New Zealand Cricket as an Australian based
marketing company that goes by the name of , cornerstone investor, Top Bloom and Podar Holding International, Pvt, Ltd has also been included in this deal inked with the USACA. This partnership has further lead to the creation of Cricket Holdings America LLC
which will in effect hold the commercial rights to cricket in the region. This association of the LLC will enable Cricket Holdings America to start a franchise based Twenty20 cricket league.
Earlier in the year, New Zealand Cricket along with the USACA was responsible for staging the first ICC authorized T20 series in the region in Miami between the countries of New Zealand and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Usa-c759
and the President of the USACA Gladstone Dainty stated, “I am delighted the hard work has resulted in a well-resourced outcome that provides USACA with the ability to grow the game from grassroots to the elite level. It should open the door for private investment
into cricket in America.”
The chief executive of the International Cricket Council, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Haroon-Lorgat-c61719, welcomed the decision as he said that United States was a key market for the growth of the game. He said he had long considered supporting the game in the region for it can prove to
be very profitable and beneficial in the long run. The chief Executive of New Zealand Cricket, Justin Vaughan stated, “With a population of four million, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 is a limited market place. We have historically punched above our weight through leadership
and innovation. Cricket Holdings America LLC is a significant step in diversifying our long-term revenue base and in the process, growing a new market.”
New Zealand cricket based on the deal inked with the USACA will provide a variety of management, development and coaching resources. They have also agreed to play a fixed number of cricket matches in the region and the board has also stated that they will
make Kiwi players available to play in any local Twenty20 leagues established in the region.
