When the situation seemed to be good for New Zealand and things were finally headed into the right direction, it was just a blink of an eye and New Zealand lost the match form a winning position. The team played good cricket overall but at the end of the
day, the result was not the one they would have liked.
After the New Zealand team was put into bat, the hosts managed to find some form with the bat scoring more than 300 runs for the first time in the series. All the batsmen showed a positive attempt to come out of the shell. Towards the end of the innings,
it was the exceptional effort of James Franklin which took the team to a massive total.
New Zealand team dominated for most part of the match and at one stage would have won it if the rain had continued to pour down. Mother Nature turned its back on the New Zealand team and the situation turned around dramatically when Yusuf Pathan blasted
his way through the Kiwi bowling line-up.
New Zealand will look for one win in the last match of the series which will be played on Friday. The team has shown that it has the potential to perform and win the matches but they only need to get some confidence. Although the team was under immense pressure
before the start of the fourth match, their positive intent took them out of the devastating situation which they had been in.
