New Zealand Cricket’s national selection manager Kim Littlejohn said that they had picked up a squad with a mix of youth and experience and hoped the players will live up to the expectations of the selectors.
"The squad had a mix of experienced performers and young players who are not yet experienced at international level. The more experienced players will play a significant role as we face the challenge of playing a very strong South African
side in their own conditions," said Kim Littlejohn.
The itinerary gets underway on December 21 with a T20 International at Durban, and will be followed by two more T20 encounters and an equal number of Tests. The ODI squad for the tour will be named at a later date.
