  1. I would prefer New Zealand, the beauty of the country is magnificient, but Australia is a better bet to finding a job, more opportunities I would imagine than New Zealand, but I always wanted to move to New Zealand, so hopefully you have a trade or a career that would be easy to find a job in.  So I would think about that, how are the job markets in those two countries, I would presume that Australia would be, esp Sydney, Melbourne etc.....  Both countries, the people there are super friendly... I had no idea how friendly everyone was over there.... Good luck

  2. depends on where you qualify to live

you can just rock up and decide to stay you must qualify to immigrate

  3. While I love NZ - I wouldn't live there.  The weather alone is enough to turn me off!  If you live on the east coast of Australia it is cheap enough to get over to NZ for holidays... I wouldn't want to stay longer than that though.  My vote is definately for Australia... you will also have a lot more job opportunities in Oz too.

  4. New Zealand is stunningly beautiful. Job opportunities are far lesser than Australia the wages are higher in Australia and the weather is terrible alot of the time. Australia is huge I'm a Newzealander that chose to become an Australian Citizen. I feel so very very priviledged to have been allowed the wonderful Opportunity. Australia is diverse there are some stunning and interesting places here. I love it. But I also love to visit only new Zealand if I'm lucky to get good weather.

  5. It depends what you are looking for.  I am a NZer but I lived in Sydney for 3 years & have taken loads of holiday's in Australia.  I left because I preferred the NZ culture, I hated the giant bugs, the humid & too hot weather, rude & racist & vulgar & sexist Australian personalities, etc (I'm not saying they are all like that but in Sydney a huge percentage of men were like this & I also constantly got hit on by guys - including ones wearing wedding rings who were double my age & I found this a daily hassle).

Also if you want to buy a house Melbourne & Sydney have outrageous housing prices, Brisbane is good though.  In NZ housing is cheaper, Auckland is the most expensive but still way cheaper than Melbourne & Sydney.  Wellington in NZ has a good nightlife like Auckland & is a really social place with very cheap housing compared to Auckland.

If you want hot weather & beach lifestyle then you'd be better in Australia.  If you prefer people who have more reserved personalities then you'll probably tire of Australia after a couple of years.

  6. many new zealanders emigrate to australia but few australians emigrate to new zealand. in most cases it is better and easier to live in australia and take vacations in new zealand.
