The New Zealand side for their forthcoming Test tour to India has been announced. Hamish Bennett and Kane Williamson, two youngsters who had impressed the selectors with their talent in the recently concluded
ODI series between New Zealand and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747 have both been included in the Test squad.
Apart from Williamson and Bennett, there will be six other cricketers who were not a part of the Kiwi squad that played in Bangladesh. The six are Martin Guptill, Brent Arnel, Chris Martin, Gareth Hopkins,
Tim McIntosh and Jeetan Patel, all of whom were recently involved in New Zealand A team’s tour of Zimbabwe. The six will fly down to India directly from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Zimbabwe-c3045.
New Zealand will play a three Test match series against India that follows closely on the heels of their 4-0 loss in ODIs to Bangladesh. The whitewash had meant that the New Zealand cricket board had called
the captain Daniel Vettori and coach Mark Greatbatch to meet the board officials to try and analyse the loss. This was followed by an announcement that the New Zealand board had decided to reaffirm their faith in the team and management and sweeping changes.

The 15-member squad will see six batsmen, four pace bowlers, two spinners and three wicket-keeping all-rounders. Brendon McCullum, who has given up on the gloves in this format of the game is expected to
bat higher than his customary position of six or seven. The pace bowling attack will be shared by Andy McKay, Chris Martin and Tim Southee, while captain Daniel Vettori will be the spinner.
The three Test matches between India and New Zealand will be played from November 4. They will be back-to-back games without any tour game between the three Tests. The first game will be held in Ahmedabad,
followed by one at http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hyderabad-c792 and Nagpur.
