New Zealand v France (Rugby World Cup) and Australia v Italy (Soccer World Cup)?

As an expat kiwi living in Aus... I must say... this is a de ja vu! Same "GUTTED" feeling that the outcome of the events have been influenced by referee decisions.

When that Italian defender "tripped" (More like a holywood) that caused the Aussies their Soccer World Cup campaign because of the penalty goal... Australia went FURIOUS!

Now same thing... the sin binning... the forward pass... I can only imagine how the boys at home must be feeling. In New Zealand... Rugby is Religion. DAMMIT! Went home two weeks too early! The All Blacks worst WRC campaign ever since it started. The worst theyve ever done before was a 4th but now... not even a quarter-semis! They had the skills... they had the depth... but luck was not on their side.

Whats another Bledisloe... or another Trination without The Webb Ellis.

Graham Henry... How do you explain the worst World Cup campaign ever? You believed you had it in the bag!

Where will NEW ZEALAND RUGBY GO FROM HERE?

As Kiwis we do what we always do after a WC debacle, have a rant, a weep, blame the Ref, move on to the IRB and blame them, share our misery with anyone that will listen, then get back on the horse and watch  the domestic comp tomorrow.!

Yes Rugby has taken a battering, but the game will  be back and NZ will still  watch their favourite teams, and the SP14 next year.

I understand your feelings, and I agree that the forward pass biased the score. But the problem is not there. You have the most beautiful and complete team of the earth, how come you didn't make it? How come only one attempt of drop goal at the end? How come so many pick-and-goes while you can pass the ball so fast that you could have tried to go from one wing to the other and wait for the opportunity. I'm french and I'm extremely happy today, but still I cannot believe that the ABs, who are still for me the best team in the world, lost that one. What a waste...

Well, referee's decisions are a fully part of sport. I mean, of course, the pass is forward but still, look in the past, All Black had time to time referee's decisions for them. Same deal about the sin binning, it was hardly against All Black. But the real question is, what was bad with your team yesterday ?

- Domination in rugby is never synonymous to a sure victory, look at the different rating...

- New Zealand was not able to go up a level when france did it.

- Don't blame only the coach, that's so easy and unfair, a defeat is always collective, the tactic made by Henry was quite good.

- Players were not able to finish the job, they didn't scored enough during the fist half time (france was so happy to lose only with a difference of 10 points at the pause).

- French defense was particulary awesome, they completed 90.4 percent of their tackles, something as 176 tackles with success in one game !!

Darkest day in aust and NZ history. Nz r aswome they cant get beat yet some how did. Being a aussie i am very saddend by there lose
