New-Zealand vs. France. Who will win and why? A close match or a rout?

Question

France have won the toss and will be playing in blue, while the AB will have to play with their grey jersey (but they do not want to).

I hope we can distinguish the two jerseys on the pitch well enough.....

I don't think the colour of their jerseys will have a bearing on the outcome.

The pace, power and ability of the All Blacks will, however. If the French aren't on their game, Carter will have a field day!

I'm french and in France I can tell you that we are not blind...

We know they will belt us...

But we beat them in 99 when everybody thought they would squash us.

I hope New Zealand will but the trouble with France is you never know.  They are very erratic and too be perfectly honest they are building to a position where they will be a very formidable team.  I have every faith that this time they will pull out all stops and have a convincing win.  Any win will be a good one.  Just banking on three wins.

I am nervous but am hoping N.Z win.  It wil be a hard and fast game that is for sure.  Perhaps it will be our 'final' just like in 99...I'll sure be on the edge of my seat come match day (eeek)!

33-13 NZ wins.

France will score a breakaway try between the posts and a couple of penalties. But in the end, NZ will take it, scoring most of their points in the second half. NZ has looked incredible and France has only been good. History will continue to be on the side of the All-Blacks who have yet to miss a semi-final in the World Cup (I believe)

Of course the expectation is that the A.B's will win against everyone.....except South Africa of course) but dont underestimate the French flair and passion!  I believe the French will do well and play their hearts out, but the kiwis will take it.  The final will be the ultimate match Springboks and All Blacks again with a game that will go down in history as one of the best ever.  The Springboks will win by 6.

I'm rooting for a final of New Zealand v. South Africa; I think that would be a fun game.  I do love Argentina though and wouldn't mind seeing them in the finals.  Can't wait for this weekend!

France will win..they love cardiff..the roof will be shut..the french will play like they did against wales in the warm ups.. (some of the best rugby i have seen a french team play) and New Zealand will be going home..

Is it me or is there so much hype around this WC??

So many media reports coming out all the time. All the players and coaches seem to be interviewed every 5minutes.

The French are talking themselves up, the ABs are talking themselves down. It's all talk talk talk talk talk talk talk and hype hype hype hype

I think it will be a close match but I also think the scoreline could be heavily in the ABs favour. We make a habit of putting heaps of points over an opposition without necessarily dominating them. You Frenchie's better hope you don't make as many errors as you did against the Argies, the All Blacks are ruthless when they turn the ball over.

I hope NZ win by a whole freakin lot.  If the roof is closed then that definately suits NZ perfectly.  No team on Earth can play with NZ on a hard, fast, pitch.   My biggest worry was that the game would be in a swamp because that is a huge equaliser and would make NZ play a totally different style than normal... a style they don't get to play a lot and a style they don't enjoy playing.

Sucks that NZ has to play in Silver but all the players have said for months that they don't care.  It's the press and supporters that seem to care more about what colour they were in.  

They must have expected it with the NZ manager not winning a single coin toss EVER.  He lost all of them before the tournament, during and probably after if they had them.  NZ finished last of all the nations for choice of captains runs, changing rooms, hotels, jerseys... everything.  Thats hilarious.  I wonder if he picked the same thing every time?  Tails never fails!
