I just looked at the Auckland Bridge Bungy and it just does not seem scary enough... any suggestions as I'm off to New Zealand in two days?

P.S Sorry that this is posted under Queenstown but there is something wrong with the Y/A's site.. you cannot select the category you want your question to go in for some reason.

  1. this site should help it list all of the Bungy sites in NZ.

  2. There are LOTS of places to bungee in New Zealand. I personally prefer the Queenstown location as well. You are jumping off the side of the mountain and nothing below to fall into or stop you. You can also go Base Jumping off the same mountain, and there are loads of other adrenalin activities in Queenstown as well. For adventure activities, I would also recommend the Caves in Waitomo (where you repel down into the old cavern and climb back out, even pilots get queasy at the start of this) and Shark Diving in Kaikoura. Check with the local flight club for the chance to fly a plane yourself in Kaikoura as well. Have a great time!

  3. ah but the highest in the world is off a bridge in south africa

but enjoy the jumping you find in N.Z.

    Lucky sods

  4. I'm off to New Zealand in a couple of days, and I'm bungy jumping as well. I'm not sure the name of the bungy jump but I know that is the highest and in New Zealand, and that it is in Queenstown. I hope that helps.

  5. The biggest (to me that would be the scariest) Bungy jump is in Queenstown

I believe it's the  - NEVIS HIGHWIRE BUNGY - Named the Worlds wildest Bungy

  7. Hi,would love to give you an answer but things to do with New Zealand yahoo sends me a violation sorry Waltz.

  8. . . . I think the scariest thing is that some people are still flying when the climate is changing and air travel is a major cause of it.  The floods this week in the UK, tornados now appearing in the UK, Hurricane Katrina etc - I find all these really scary

  9. Queenstown is and you have the option of getting wet or not (landing in the water).

Not for the faint of heart this time of year unless you pack a dry outfit. lol

  10. Was in Queenstown about a week and a half ago when all the snow struck and did the Nevis Bungy jump(134m). Its not the highest in the world but is the highest in New Zealand and plenty high enough for most people. Good challenge but amazing buzz once you have done it. I met other people who did the thrillogy (three of QT's bungy's) and said Nevis was the best. There are different stories about the highest Bungy in the world and I think it depends whether you are talking about commercial or non. I believe the highest commercial Bungy is in Hong Kong tho and is about 230m. The next highest is supposed to be one in South Africa but there are plenty of rumours going round that is has been shut down. I don't know about that. And also my friend has just done one in India which is about 160m so all in all I don't know what order they all come in. Nevis is well worth doing tho and will be one part of an amazing time you are bound to have in QT and New Zealand as a whole. Hope you have fun!
