New Zealand’s former skipper Martin Crowe has affirmed the news that he is considering a comeback to cricket after 15-years. Former skipper returns to first class cricket at the age of 48 comes as a surprise to cricketing fans
all around the globe.
Crowe maintains that there are several reasons behind this decision one of these is to keep himself physically fit and self-motivated while the other motive for his comeback is to score 392 runs which he needs to achieve a milestone
of 20,000 first-class runs. Crowe will be representing Cornwall cricket club.
The 48-year-old batsman said, “When you get to my age, you need to do something. Physically, I am a person who needs more than going to gym. I need to fire myself up. I don't like swimming, cycling, or lifting weights. I can't
climb, I can't run; why not bat? It's a serious goal to get fit.”
The right-hand batsman wants to stay in-charge of his body and be at top of things. He considers batting as a way to get up from couch and keep moving. He concludes that this is an amiable attempt by an aging cricketer to see whether
he can still play at this level. He deems there is only one way to find whether he can still play or not and that is by trying.
Crowe expressed with amusement, “Hey! If http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918 has kept himself fit.
It's human nature to feel that you are top of things.”
Crowe believes various speculations are made when a retired cricketer takes back retirement. Fans are worried about their idol as they are off the view that their favourite cricketer will struggle against young and emerging ones.
Some fans also feel that the cricketer is making such an attempt to get back into the national side.
Crowe however turned down all these assumption about him and states it would have been right had he made his return at age of 37 or 38 but now he has not intentions of playing international cricket and is just making this endeavour
to see whether such a thing is possible or not.
Former Kiwi skipper contemplates http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Richardson-c85395 has plans of participating in four marathons in 2011. Crowe
after hearing about his old friends wanted to do something which was fun as well and it was at the same time that one of his pals asked him to complete, scoring 20,000 first class runs, what he left behind many years ago.
