this is a new compressor and I have been told it is because there is not enough freon or to much. I have bled the freon out and added more and it is still doing it what is wrong with my car?

  1. You will need about three cans of freon to keep the compressor running,It will keep going off and on if you have it on normal, but if you put it on MAX it should stay on all the time.Make sure that your condenser is'nt gloged up. The  orfice maybe cloged up and need replaced .If the orfice is cloged up it want let the freon flow. Also check to see if the heater is'nt stick open.

  2. Bleeding the freon out is not a process for any air conditioning. You will have to pull a vacuum on it top rid of any type of matter from the system and that includes oxygen/nitrogen and any type of moisture in the A/C system.

What you are saying does point to low freon in the system and hope you are using A/C gauges to diagnose this concern. If not and trying to save money I can only suggest to find local garage to help out on this that has the correct tools and at a reasonable price.

Hope this helps and have a great weekend.
