As if flying didn't suck already... please read this...

"A senior government official with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has expressed great interest in a so-called safety bracelet that would serve as a stun device, similar to that of a police Taser®. According to this promotional video found at the Lamperd Less Lethal, Inc. website, the bracelet would be worn by all airline passengers."

I'd like to believe that this will never happen, but with the culture of fear in this country, I think its possible.

Should we become willing slaves in the name of safety?

Would YOU put this on your kids wrist just so he/she can fly to see grandma?

Scary or safety... what do you think?

  1. Scary - but nothing out of the new ordinary...

    Why?

Because it all comes down to what the sheeples will put up with and what they will not.

To date there’s been NO active stand against anything the government has *pulled* - in the name of keeping us safe - since 911.

If you think anyone will do anything about this, you’re wrong.

    I wish it wasn’t so.

  2. This gvmt. has come up with so many ways to restrict our freedom, it's unbelievable.  Considering that a lot of claims are out there, stating that 9/11 was an insider job, orchestrated by this government, would I say that it is a serious infringement on personal rights for the good of those who profit from all this--just remember the authority given to phone companies to turn over your phone/internet records.  Then this authority was backed by a clause that made it impossible for the free citizen who felt violated to file a lawsuit.  Then came the restrictions imposed on air travellers:  you couldn't take some things on board no longer unless they were certain sizes.  To me that is just hogwash:  women who have an infant travelling with them can't take certain things in small sizes.  Blind people who travel with a service animal also can't do so.  Next came the imposition of charges to check bags by the airline companies.  Now, why would we have to pay the airlines for bag checking if those security guys already get a paycheck from the federal government.  So the report found by you is just another measure to restrict my freedom, not to ensure security!!!

You know, I have no problem turning my bag over to get it checked, and I have no problem turning my phone and internet records over to the federal government if there is a valid justification---but to eavesdrop on people just because they have friends or relatives in other countries, to go through their private belongings and then MAKE  THEM PAY FOR IT, that is a serious offense to me.  I am still going to fly because I travel overseas a lot, but I am going to beat them to the punch--my stuff is going to be in my suitcase, they won't find a purse on me--and all they can do is frisk me--and I am NOT going to pay for that or for a bracelet......
