  1. I think Curlin's connections are very interested in running in the Arc.  So long as the horse trains well over the grass and has a good grass prep, I'm pretty sure they want to run him there.  It's a really big race and Curlin's ready to take on the new competition.  I think it's likely that Curlin will go to the Arc.

OH!  New Approach is a horse!  I thought you were asking about Curlin and his new approach to racing!  LOL!  Sorry!

  2. The Arc is a tough race for a three year old and New Approach has had quite a demanding season so far - 3 Group 1 races and a 4th on the cards for the end of this month.

If they give him a mid-season break and bring him back for a prep race in September there is no reason why he won't go.

It all depends how he takes the Irish Derby, if he comes out of the race well then it may be all systems go.

Another factor may be whether he is to be sent to stud at the end of the year or not.  If he is sent to stud they may well just have a crack at the race as they have nothing to lose.  However if they plan to keep him in training, they may decide to wait until next year.

The prospect of Curlin running in the Arc is an interesting one, though if he goes for that it is hard to see him defending his crown at Breeders' Cup too - there are only 20 days between the two races and a lot of travelling involved for the horse.

  3. he will run in france

  4. I almost would rather see Curlin stay here and take on Big Brown in the Classic at the Breeders Cup. .

But I hope he goes to france and wins with a commanding lead.

  5. We'll probably all have a better idea of that after his run in the Irish Derby on the 29th of June. Nothing is certain in horseracing.....
