I feed him and i check his stomach and it is full so i know he is full but he still makes the crying noise, my other baby cockatiel i had about 2 months ago did that only for about 2 days than was used to me this ones been doing this since he opened his eyes!

  1. They cry because they are hungry. That is why it is so easy to over feed them. He will get over the crying and hissing. It is basically a defensive measure. The bette he knows you the less he will use it. They all cry like this when really hungry. Is the baby warm enough? When you have three or four babies they lay on each other helping keep each other  warm. With only one baby he doens't have any help. He is probably cool. Try warming him up a bit.

  2. use MUSIC MY PET, my cockatiel would also not shut up. But then I did my research and purchased music my pet cd from petco, it was very inexpensive and it makes the animal calm down and go to sleep. The cd was actually created by the same guy who wrote all the music for the award winning baby einstein series. The music does the trick perfectly.

  3. I had a cockatiel but dont remember this - but maybe he was a bit older. My friends mum looks after other native aussie birds and I remember some babies would cry every time you went near the cage so they kept them covered all the time with lots of native leaves (not poisonous) in the cage so they felt safe. And the cage was covered with towels
