I will be going to CA from UT the end of June. I read that there is only one baggage allowed free of charge. I really want to know how much would an extra luggage charge would be?? It will weigh no more than 50lbs. Is it still $50? I am getting all kinds of answers. Any help would be great.thanks

  1. It depends on the airline, a couple of weeks age American Airlines started charging for all checked baggage on domestic flights, United charges for the 2nd piece of luggage only and it also depends on whether you purchased your ticket before they announced the charges. Elite members of their frequent flyer programs are exempt from some charges. You need to check the website of the airline you're flying on, baggage allowances can vary considerably from airline to airline.

  2. It depends on which airline...Some airlines allow 2. Some allow 1. Some say 20. Some say 50. Go to the airlines site.

  3. depends on ur airline, call and ask them for the actual answer. or just go to their website and read.
