New beatle opinions?

Im thinking about buying a new beatle, i was investigating and i found this car very good, but i need your opinion about this car.,The bad things and the good things and all you can say is welcomed here. Thank you

Awesome car! My '98 Red hardtop named Ladybug has over 115K on her, and going very strong. You need to pay attention to maintenance items, especially the water pump/timing belt change every 60-80K.

Loads of character, great in Canadian winters, does 34MPG with manual trans, and makes me smile every time I see her.

It's been invaluable to me over the years, saved much cash on small issues I could deal with myself (these problems usually required only cleaning or lubrication of the part by yours truly, the dealer wouldn've hosed me down)

For the same price, I'd get a Mini Cooper instead...it's lighter, gets better gas mileage, is more sporty, and is just as much a cultural icon as the Beetle.
