Question:

New bed skirt and wrinkles... how to get them out for good?

I just bought a bed skirt. The label says Don't iron. Wash cold, tumble dry. So I washed it cold. I tried ironing it, and I just ironed in more wrinkles. Will the dryer knock them out? I have them in the washer now on gentle cycle. I am not a fan of wrinkles I must add!

  1. I have had the same problem with the same situation.  I used my iron on medium low setting and made sure to use the steam option on the iron.  It worked wonderfully!

    Hope this helps you out!

  2. Downy Wrinkle Releaser is awesome for this! Spray it on, give some sharp tugs as the directions indicate and they're gone.

  3. Try drying it until it's only slightly damp and then put it on your bed.  Then use the wrinkle releaser previously suggested (it works wonders) and you should have a wrinkle free bed skirt.

  4. Why would you iron it if it said DONT iron! DUH you deserve those extra wrinkles!

You should put the bed skirt in the dryer and fluff it. Then when it is done, put it on your bed immediately. If there are a few wrinkles they will eventually fall out due to the bed skirt hanging there.

    Good Luck.

  5. Try pulling it out of the dryer before it is completely dry, put it on your bed, damp, and let it hang dry. The weight of the material should hang the wrinkles out as it dries. Do it way before you need to go to bed so the top will dry before putting the mattress back on. I hope this helps.
