Question:

New bird aviary and budgies?

I just purchased a big bird aviary which currently houses 4 budgies. The budgies are coming with the aviary so my questions are:

I already have 2 budgies in a cage. How will they go interacting with the new budgies?

Should I clean the aviary when it comes to my house. and what with?

I want to purchase other birds for the aviary too and I have been ready what is good and what isn't to be in with budgies. What do you recomend?

I am alsoi wanting to purchase a few quails. What breed is a good breed as a pet and to maybe breed.

What should I put at the bottom of the aviary. It is a bottomless aviary.

Any other tips/ comments/ suggestions welcome

Thanks

  1. the best way to introduce birds into a aviary is put them somewhere the aviary in a smaller cage so that they can see and hear each other for about an hour or 2 and then open up the cage and let them exit the small cage in their own time(usually 10 minutes)
