  1. Depends..   IF your going with some park, (jibbing and jumps)  Rock something a bit shorter than your chin this will guarantee you a nice easy ride with good manuverability..  If your going to freeride all mountain get something jsut a bit longer than your chin

    Some good brands are

    Butron

    Forum

    Ride

    K2

    Tech Nine

    Lib Tech

    GNU

to name a few...   Shop around on Dogfunk.com and theclickworldwide.com.. Or go to a local shop. YOur going to be looking for somehthing in the 140  range(for size)(

  2. Try this size calculator to get the correct size for your weight, height, foot size and riding style - it will even give you suggestions on the best type of board:

I would say 150cm to 155cm depending on whether you are still growing - then maybe more toward 155cm. My favorites are Ride and K2 for All Mountain which is what I would suggest if you are learning - you didn't say.

Best time to buy is pre-season (do you have a Sports Authority near you?) or post season clearances - maybe around $200 if you find a good discount.

    Good Luck
