  1. Considering your new plant is a juniper, an outdoor bonsai, you'll need to find an outdoor home for it. You can find care for outdoor plants on this site.

  2. 1. Your tree is a Juniper - Specifically it is most likely a Juniper Procumbens Nana - probably about 3 -4 years old.

    2. Junipers do like a lot of sun, just be careful of it drying out if you keep it in direct sun. Water from the top, just as any other plant, when the soil starts drying. If the pot is small and it is in full sun this could be more than once a day. Fluorescent lighting - Junipers are an outdoor plant and will not survive indoors for any long period of time. See #4

    3. In winter it must be protected from freezing, but it still needs to be in the cold. An unheated garage is a good choice, but only if there is a lot of sun available. Outdoors is better yet. Bury the pot to the soil line in mulch to keep from freezing solid. They still need water, even in the winter, but it can be reduced.

    4. Junipers cannot be grown indoors. They can be displayed indoors for short periods of time (a few days).

Good luck with your new tree. By the looks of the photos your tree looks healthy, it is in the proper soil and there are no moss or rocks on the soil surface. You must have bought from a reputable dealer. You have a good start already. It would be a good idea to research more on the proper care of juniper bonsai.

  3. oh i just got one too, i been trying to figure out how to take care of it .  its so hard im scared its gonna die. i think you should water it three time,  one for the tree, one for the soil, and one for the pot.  japanese custom du ma mai! ...    good luck with Vibrant...  Miko sends out best wishes to her sistering plant!
