  1. You will need fine tooth comb,  flea spray and  flea dip.

I kept mine in a large box in the garage away form the other cat and out the house until I was certain I killed everything.

1st I gave mine a flea bath and comb him- outside- to get off any dead fleas. Each morning i would start at the top of his head-sheilding his eyes- spray each section of him, bit by bit combing each section to remove the dead fleas, until I did his whole body. I did this again at night, but that was the directions 2x daily, so follow the directions.

When I did not comb of any more dead fleas I gave Roadside 1 last flea bath.

  2. GIVE THEM A BATH IN DAWN! Dawn dish washing soap is the only way to kill fleas without harming the kittens. I've done this to kittens as young as 13 days old. It kills the fleas but doesn't hurt them. Give them a bath about three times, then wash them down real well with warm water. While they're still wet, take a flea comb and brush the remaining fleas off.

    Good luck!

  3. Flea collars are highly toxic and should not be used on full grown cats let alone kittens.

Dawn works OK for older kittens, not newborns.  It does a one-time kill but does not keep fleas off after the bath.  It is very drying to their delicate skin.

Use a flea comb and dip the comb in water to get the fleas off as you comb.  You may need to do this daily until the kittens are old enough to be treated with Advantage or Frontline (at 8 weeks).

Check with your vet and make sure it is OK to treat mom with Frontline or Advantage.  It's important to get the fleas off mom to keep them off the kittens. And be sure and treat all the other pets in the house.

  4. you cant use anything on them just yet you have to wait until they are 6 weeks

  5. when u register them at the vets there are somethings u can buy over the counter like stronghold, u put a drop of it directly on the back of the neck and the fleas drop off. U have to get it from vets and make sure u give them the right dosage or they will overdose.

Also cos kittens are so small u need to get it done ASAP as sometimes fleas can be fatal, they can literally suck the blood out of the kitten and make them anaemic.
