I have been to Noumea and just did a lot of walking around the wharf area into the town and took a visit to some of the other resorts along the shore lineand beaches

New Caledonia is mostly considered a beach/sun/resort destination, in addition  there are some woderful parks where the unique flora & fauna of the island can be observed, and you must not miss the Tjibaou Cultural Centre in Noumea for the museum on indegenous culture and it's magnificent architecture
