hello. I live in Ottawa Canada. I am 6'3 and 210lbs. I am currently looking for advice in terms of what to go for for my very first motorcycle. Ideally I have seen those sports bike and they look really cool. I have seen the cruisers as well and they look very cool as well. Now I haven't made up my mind yet in terms of what style to go for so your input is very welcome. Ideally also I would love to be able to carry a passenger. My budget is no more than 5000. Any suggestions? PLease keep in mind it is going to be my very first motorcycle; i am 6'3 and 210lbs

  1. I started on a cruiser... it was a Yamaha 250cc, it was a very cool bike to learn on, also very comfortable to sit on for long periods.

I only went to sports bikes when i had lots of road skills.

  2. go to your local dealer, sit on a few , lift them off the stands to get a good weight feeling for each, then go out and find the model you liked them most and best suited you used somewhere and buy it. don't let someone else tell you which bike is the best for you . try a few on for size and get the one  YOU like and you won't be disappointed. also , get yourself some good rding gear  i.e.  helmet, gloves, etc....... and take a begginners riding course.   have fun and keep the rubber side down!! ride safe!!
