New car alarms and locking systems, Braking locks the car doors,why?

Question

In older ones,when u started and moved the car after some seconds,doors locked automaticly.but in new car alarms when u move the car they don`t lock the doors till ur first brake.

when u brake they lock the doors.

why?

What is the logic of this?why is it better than the previous method?

are you sure they wired that correctly?  it should be when the car is put into drive for the first time.  

since the brake switch is closer to where they're installing the the wiring, they're probably being lazy.

The way that I see it is that when you first get into the car you will put your seat belts on and then you will press on the brake which will lock the doors, this way you are completely safe and secure, probably mostly due to small children.

There are many vehicle which incorporate this safety feature independent of the alarm system. Your previous vehicle may have been one of them.If the alarm system you bought comes with this feature it is acting off of some kind of input source to signal activation of the door lock solenoid. If you really want to know contact the manufacture of the system you have with the model number and the year make and model of your vehicle, you can get a wiring schematic that indicates which wire receives the input signal to activate your door locks and if there are any over rides to prevent the doors from locking. You haven't said whether your car is automatic or Stick either this makes a difference as well. I am not sure where you got the idea that "they" have changed anything there are far to many unknown variables to say that the alarm you have now is designed to work any differently than the one you had before. I would ask you first WHO installed it and how.
