New companies in America?

I am searching for a list that gives me a list of companies along with date started. I need some info for my project. Specially companies that are new in silicon valley. Please help.

go to the above website and compile a list of companies in the silicon valley, Ca area. For more information on each company including the date they started check california secretary of state website at http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/list.html

do a search by the business name and it will give you information on the company, owners and the date the company filed with the state.  You can also use yellowpages.com for a list of companies in the area.  Good luck.
